The National Capital Territory of Delhi is soon to have a state-of-the-art national facility for research and treatment through Indian systems of medicine. A prestigious venture of the central government, the National Ayurvedic Hospital being set up at Sarita Vihar, New Delhi is funded by the department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) in the Union ministry of health and family welfare.
The multi specialty hospital would offer quality patient care, and would function as a postgraduate teaching and research centre. Being planned as a centre of excellence it would function as the model collaborative research centre for alternate medicines.
